Day 4 - CAIRNS AND BARRIER REEF Board a huge catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef. From our base on Green Island, swim in this buoyant water, take a trip on a glass bottom boat where beautifully colored fish swim by in their natural habitat and visit the underwater observatory. Day 5 - CAIRNS - LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Enjoy a city tour of Sydney where the English explorer James Cook weighed anchor in 1770. Highlights include Kings Cross, the Harbour Bridge, the Rocks, Circular Quay, the Botanic Gardens and the fashionable Paddington suburb. A highlight is your guided tour of the Sydney Opera House. Day 9 - SYDNEY/CHRISTCHURCH, NZ/QUEENSTOWN

Day 10 - QUEENSTOWN/MILFORD SOUND/QUEENSTOWN
During your drive to Milford Sound, enjoy the rugged grandeur of the Hollyford Valley. Travel through beech forests via the Homer Tunnel to board your boat for a breathtakingly beautiful cruise on Milford Sound with rock faces rising nearly 4,000 ft. on either side. Day 11 - QUEENSTOWN
A day at leisure in this wonderful little town! Shop, or perhaps take an optional and exciting jet boat on the Shotover River or take the optional "Safari of the Rings" through the Remarkable Mountains and the lovely countryside. Meals B MERCURE RESORT
Day 12 - QUEENSTOWN/MT. COOK/CHRISTCHURCH
Travel the countryside to New Zealand's most famous national park, Mt. Cook. Enroute enjoy a stop at a local fruit stand to gain an inside look at the produce of New Zealand. You may choose to view this massive glacier and extensive snow-covered mountaintop on an optional glacier flight seeing tour (weather permitting) or enjoy the park on a nature walk. Day 13 - CHRISTCHURCH
This morning a short sightseeing tour of "the most English city outside of England," Christchurch. Highlights include magnificent gardens, the Neo-Gothic Cathedral and the downtown park district. Remainder of afternoon is at leisure. This evening you are invited to dine and make friends with a New Zealand family in their home. Day 14 - CHRISTCHURCH
Visit a Canterbury farmyard to see the workings of the farm including a sheep shearing demonstration, herding, and learn first hand how this New Zealand family farm operates.
