Day 3 - AN ADIRONDACK EXPERIENCE /LAKE PLACID VILLAGE
Our morning drive through the region takes us to the Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake. This unique museum explores the culture, environment and history of the Adirondack area from 1800 to the present. Special exhibits for 2016 include Weaving a Legacy: Mohawk Basketry Traditions, and Sense of Place: prints by Ellen Phelan featuring landscapes and gardens from her Westchester County Estate. Continue to Lake Placid Village, your home for two nights. Meals:B,D

Lake Placid Village was home to the Olympics in 1932 and 1980 and you’ll see eager young adults training for gold medals at the especially built Olympic Training Center. Day 1 -INDEPENDENCE/NEWARK/WILMINGTON
Day 2 - LAKE GEORGE CRUISE Continue north through the beautiful and scenic Hudson River Valley to Lake George, for our luncheon cruise. This 32 mile long lake formed by earthquakes and glaciers is classified as AA-special and is used for the drinking water of the many people around the lake. A scenic look at the area before we check into our hotel. Dinner theatre this evening at our hotel. Meals:B,L,D

Day 5 - OTESAGA AND SURROUNDINGS
Leave your views of Lake Placid behind for those of Cooperstown, NY, another of New York’s beautiful small towns nestled on a lovely lake. A delicious lunch at the famous Otesaga Hotel awaits you on arrival before you choose your afternoon activity - a visit to the famous Baseball Hall of Fame or the impressive James Fenimore Cooper Museum. Continue into Albany for overnight. Meals:B,L

Day 6 - JOURNEY HOME
Farewell to the Adirondack Mountains as we journey home, stopping enroute for an independent lunch. Afternoon arrival in Wilmington, Newark and Independence. Meals:B

Day 4 - OLYMPIC SKI JUMP
An exciting morning seeing possible future Olympic winners training at the Olympic Training Center in a ski-jumping demonstration while you enjoy lunch on the observation level at the top of a jumping ramp. Afternoon at leisure to stroll though Lake Placid Village near your hotel and enjoy dinner independently. Meals:B,L

Our departures take us north to New York State and the beautiful Boscobel Mansion. Construction began in the early 19th century by S. Morris Dyckman, but he passed away before seeing his new home. His wife, Elizabeth, oversaw the construction and today it is one of the most elegant houses in the U.S. A Federal style home, its interior features an very fine collections of decorative arts from the same period. Enjoy a special lunch and a guided tour before we continue to Mohonk Mountain House, a magnificent Victorian style “castle” overlooking Lake Mohonk. Dinner this evening at our hotel. Meals:L,D
