Day 4- HILDENE/SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY
Travel to Manchester, VT to visit the Georgian Revival Style home of Robert Todd Lincoln, the only child of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln to survive to adulthood. Guides will be with our group for a tour of the home. The 1,000-pipe organ, in the entrance hall is a gift from Robert Todd Lincoln to his wife, Mary. You will also see the Pullman Car Sunbeam, built in 1888. It was used by Presidents McKinley and Teddy Roosevelt. Lunch at Hildene before we depart for Saratoga Springs for a late afternoon guided motorcoach tour of this delightful town. Overnight in Saratoga Springs. Meals:B,L,D

Day 5 - SARATOGA SPRINGS/ HOME
Enjoy breakfast before we depart for home, stopping for lunch enroute. Arrive home in the late afternoon or early evening. Meals:B,L

Day 3 - AREA SIGHTSEEING
This morning’s activities include a tour of the Trapp Family Lodge and the documentary “The Real Maria”. After an independent lunch our guide will join us for a look at local sightseeing including a
local covered bridge, stops at Lake Champlain Chocolates, Danforth Pewter, Cabot Cheese Annex and the Cold Hollow Cider Mill to see a demonstration of how cider is made. Return to the Lodge in the late afternoon. This evening dinner at the Bierhall, a lovely gathering place to enjoy “a little of Austria, and a lot of Vermont” at the Trapp Family Restaurant. Meals:B,D

Day 1 - INDEPENDENCE/NEWARK/WILMINGTON/HARTFORD
After morning departures, drive north into Connecticut for lunch followed by a tour of the Mark Twain House. It was here that Samuel Clemens (pen name Mark Twain) and his wife Olivia lived from 1874 until 1891 when financial difficulties forced them to move to Europe. His house is as unique and colorful as himself. Tour the house before checking into our Hartford hotel. Meals:L,D

Day 2 -HARTFORD/WATERBURY/STOWE
After breakfast drive north into Vermont to the lovely town of Waterbury to visit Ben and Jerry’s Factory Store. The tour includes a company history video, a view of their production room and a stop in the Flavor Lab for a sample to delight your taste buds. Continue north to Stowe for two nights at the Trapp Family Lodge with afternoon tea before check-in. Dinner at the Lodge this evening. Meals:B,D
