CONDITIONS: A deposit of $250 is due with each reservation no later than July 1, 2014. After July 1, 2014, reservations are subject to availability. Final payment is due November 15, 2014. Trip cancellation insurance must be purchased at time of deposit at a cost of $345 per person. With insurance you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund except for your insurance premium. Without insurance your deposit and all other payments are non-refundable after July 8, 2014.

Day 4 - ARNHEM 

 Your morning cruising takes you to the large city of Arnhem, favorite summer retreat of the Dutch Royal Family. You have opportunity to choose between two optional tours - an Arnhem sightseeing our followed by a visit to the Open-Air-Museum where you follow the course of the battle for the bridge at Arnhem in 1944, or the history of “Market Garden”, the securing of the main bridge in the city by  the British First Airborne so that Allied troops could advance in to Northern Germany. Drive past the  landmarks and visit the Airborne Museum. Meals B,L,D



After breakfast, your day begins with a city tour that includes a delightful canal cruise. Return to your riverboat to cruise to the little fishing village of Volendam where you can still see fisherman dressed in traditional caps and baggy-legged trousers. Visit a local cheese farm to see the process of how the area cheese is made and to sample some of the results! Return to your boat - during dinner we cruise to the Ijssel Sea. Meals B,L,D

A morning stop in  Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage site, allows you to experience Holland’s largest concentration of windmills, many still operating. After lunch visit the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, spanning more than 70 acres within a beautiful park of tranquil ponds and tree-shaded paths. With more than 7 million tulips and other flowers, Keukenhof is a kaleidoscope of color in bloom. Your day ends with a  farewell dinner and a typical Dutch folklore show celebrating the end of an unforgettable river cruise!  Meals B,L,D 



Dock in Antwerp, Belgium’s second largest city, boasting beautiful Gothic and Baroque architecture and lively cafes. It is also the city of Peter Paul Rubens, who spent much of his life here. A local expert guide will join you to explore the legendary “Brabo”  fountains; Liebfrauenkirche, Belgium’s largest Gothic church and Rubens’ House. This afternoon is at leisure for shopping, independent sightseeing or an optional tour to the city of Brussels which you should not miss! This evening the captain welcomes you to his elegant Gala Dinner followed by an evening of dancing. Meals B,L,D



This morning you arrive in the imperial city of Ghent. Lined with typical patrician houses in its city center, Ghent conveys the splendor of by-gone days. We recommend that you join an optional shore excursion that includes St. Bavo Cathedral, the most beautiful cathedral in the country! Within are a wealth of art treasures including the “Conversion of St. Bavo” by Peter Paul Rubens, and the world-famous Calvary Tryptych. 

Later allow yourself to be transported back in medieval times with a leisurely walking tour of Bruges, one of Europe’s most perfectly preserved and beautiful medieval cities.  Meals B,L,D 



Morning cruising lets you relax on the sun deck and enjoy the river traffic. After lunch your optional shore excursion at Middleburg includes the Delta Works Project located at Neeltje, an amazing example of how the Dutch have tamed the waters that constantly threaten to flood them. The storm surge barrier is considered one of the engineering marvels of the world. Afterwards, visit the town of Veere, which was a very prosperous trading port in the Middle Ages and today is one of the most picturesque towns in the area. Meals B,L,D

Day 2 - AMSTERDAM/BOARD SHIP   Arrive Amsterdam, a beautiful city with tidy canals, superb museums and a marvelous system of dykes that keep the sea at bay.
