Join us for a delightful tour of Ireland, the Emerald Isle.  Enjoy sights and sounds of cities, charming villages and the countryside, and above all, the warm welcome around every corner.  English is spoken, but try your hand at Gaelic with a native.  Fine dining awaits, memorable sights as we tour the countryside - and marvel at the many shades of green that give this land its evocative nickname.  Visits include Dublin, Waterford, Killarney, and Limerick for history, culture, unique shopping, and visiting with the hospitable Irish. 

Itinerary

Day 1 - INDEPENDENCE/NEWARK/WILMINGTON
Following departures from designated pick-up locations drive via motor coach to Philadelphia Airport (PHL) for overnight flight to Dublin.  Meals DB

Day 2 - DUBLIN
Arrive Dublin and enjoy time on your own to explore a bit before joining your fellow travelers for some traditional entertainment during a fun-filled Irish evening.  Meals D

Day 3 - DUBLIN
Become familiar with the "Fair City" of Dublin during a tour highlighting the top sights.  Visit St. Patrick's Cathedral, O'Connell Street, Grafton Street, Phoenix Park, and see the city's trademark - magnificent rows of stately Georgian town homes.  Enjoy the freedom of an afternoon to relax or set out on a personal adventure to discover the cultural offerings of delightful Dublin on your own.  Meals B

House of Waterford Crystal

Day 4 - DUBLIN/KILKENNY/WATERFORD
Travel to Kilkenny to explore the medieval atmosphere of this city situated on the banks of the River Nore.  Travel on to the historic city of Waterford and visit the House of Waterford Crystal. 
Enjoy a fascinating factory tour and browse the retail store housing the largest collection of Waterford Crystal in the world.  Complete your day with a leisurely-paced walking tour of this unique city.  Meals BD

Day 5 - WATERFORD/BLARNEY STONE/KILLARNEY
Journey to historic Blarney Castle and embrace the opportunity to kiss the famous Blarney Stone.  Legend has it that those who kiss the stone are bestowed with the gift of eloquence.  In Killarney, you will be treated to an Irish jaunting car ride.  A tour of the beautiful Muckross House and Gardens offers a glimpse into the elegant lifestyle of the Victorian gentry.  Imagine what their days were like as you explore the perfectly restored rooms of this magnificent mansion and stroll in the lush gardens, spectacularly adorned with blooms.  Meals

Day 6 - KILLARNEY/RING OF KERRY/KILLARNEYLadies View
Travel along one of the most beautiful coastal routes in the world, the Ring of Kerry.  At the Gap  of Dunloe, shop for traditional Irish goods handcrafted by local artisans.  Enjoy pristine ocean scenery as you move through picturesque villages.  Continue as you traverse rugged mountain passes into "Ladies View."  From this spectacular vantage point, one of Ireland's finest, gaze upon the lakes of Killarney.  Tonight, use your leisure time to sample a true taste of Irish culture.  Meals B

KILLARNEY AVENUE, KILLARNEY

Day 7 - KILLARNEY/LIMERICK
Today, experience the customs and daily life of a traditional Irish family during a memorable visit to the Molanna Dairy Farm.  Continue to Limerick, where a panoramic city tour showcases King John's Castle and the Treaty Stone.  Delve into the fascinating history of the "city of the violated treaty."  Meals B

Day 8 - LIMERICK/CLIFFS OF MOHER/GALWAY/LIMERICK
An exciting day waits as we journey to the stunning Cliffs of Moher.  Marvel at the awe-inspiring views of the Aran Islands and the mighty Atlantic from these stunning, 700-foot-high cliffs.  Stand tall as the ocean winds blow in from half a world away.  Then, travel through the vast limestone landscape of the Burren, known for its stark beauty and Neolithic tombs.  Continue past scenic countryside into Galway, where a brief city tour introduces "The City of Tribes."  Meals BD

LIMERICK HOTEL, LIMERICK

Day 9 - LIMERICK/TULLAMORE/KILBEGGAN/KINGSCOURT
Start your day with a cross-country journey to Irish Whiskey territory.  The ancient towns of Tullamore and Kilbeggan have long been associated with the whiskey industry.  Become engaged in the process of whiskey making and enjoy a tasting of the final product during a visit to one of these historic distilleries.  Top your day off with an overnight stay on the regal grounds of Cabra Castle, where you toast the end of a fabulous trip during your farewell dinner.  Meals BD

LIMERICK HOTEL, LIMERICK

Day 10 - KINGSCOURT
Enjoy breakfast, share email addresses with your many new friends if you wish, and then transfer to the airport for your return flight to PHL where a motor coach will be waiting to return you to Wilmington, Newark and Independence.  Meals B and meal in flight

  Conditions:
Reservation deposit $250 due with each reservation.
Balance due April 1, 2014. 
Cancellations:  Deposits without insurance are fully refundable until January 3, 2014.  After final payment date, no refunds.

Insurance, at a cost of $220 per person, is highly recommended.  Purchase of the insurance guarantees full refund of all payments including deposits, except the cost of the insurance.  INSURANCE MUST BE PURCHASED AT THE TIME OF DEPOSIT.

   

A valid passport for 6 months after your return is required for this tour.
