DAY 1 – INDEPENDENCE/NEWARK/WILMINGTON/PHL AIRPORT
Following departures from Independence, Newark and Wilmington, drive to PHL for your overnight flight to Rome. Prepare for a warm welcome to a country rich in history, culture, and art that will treat all your senses. Meals: in flight
Day 3 – ROME
You can begin your day with an optional tour to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica. Later this morning enjoy a locally guided panoramic tour of Rome featuring the impressive Piazza Venezia, the Roman Forum, Circus Maximus, the Arch of Constantine, and a visit to the spectacular Colosseum. MEDITERRANEO HOTEL, ROME
DAY 4 – ROME/RAVELLO/ AMALFI COAST
Depart Rome and journey south to the Amalfi Coast. We visit Ravello, perhaps the most picturesque village along the coast. To the south of Ravello’s Cathedral is the entrance to the Villa Rufolo, famed for its cascading gardens. Created by a Scotsman, Scott Neville Reid in 1853. they are truly magnificent, commanding panoramic views packed with exotic colors and luxurious blooms. Meals:B,D
DAY 2 – ROME Arrive in Rome, with the remainder of the day at leisure. Join your fellow travelers for a special welcome dinner at a popular local restaurant featuring local delicacies and wines. Meals:D
MEDITERRANEO HOTEL, ROME
DAY 5 – AMALFI COAST/SORRENTO/AMALFI COAST A delightful morning exploring the popular and charming seaside resort town of Sorrento. This afternoon travel to the town of Amalfi where you have time to explore on your own. Then on to Minori where you have the opportunity to sample some of the local specialties at a family-owned limoncello factory. A typical Italian afternoon break at a local café and pastry shop. Your evening is at leisure. Meals:B
DAY 8 -- AMALFI COAST/POMPEII/WINERY/AMALFI COAST Today experience the excavated ruins of Pompeii at the foothills of Mount Vesuvius. Soak in the history of the preserved original buildings of a typical Roman town 2,000 years ago. A local guide will provide an in-depth view of this remarkable archaeological site. Stop at a local winery at the foot of Mt. Vesuvius to savor the famous Lacryma Christo wines and to enjoy a typical Neapolitan lunch. Meals:B,L
DAY 6 – AMALFI COAST/PAESTUM/AMALFI COAST
After breakfast, discover one of Italy’s most surprising products during a tour of a local buffalo milk mozzarella factory. Then continue to Paestum where a local guide will escort you through some of the best preserved Greek temples outside of Greece. There are three ancient temples in a very good state of preservation. End your day with dinner at a local restaurant. Meals:B,D
DAY 7 – AMALFI COAST
A day at leisure to take in the scenery of the Amalfi Coast. You may wish to sign up for an optional boat trip to the wonderful Mediterranean island of Capri where a local guide will provide an interesting tour of this island. Meals:B
DAY 9 - AMALFI COAST/NAPLES/ROME Bid farewell to the Amalfi Coast this morning and travel to colorful and vibrant Naples. Visit the fascinating National Archaeological Museum, one of the finest in the world. This evening enjoy a festive, farewell dinner with your fellow travelers. Meals:B,D
CROWNE PLAZA ST. PETER’S ROME
DAY 10 - ROME/HOME
Your tour ends today as you board a homeward flight to PHL, with transportation on arrival to Wilmington, Newark, and Independence. Meals:B

Conditions: a deposit of $250 per person is due with each reservation no later than April 15, 2015. Final payment is due August 10, 2015.
Cancellations: With insurance you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund except for the insurance premium of $260. Without insurance, after April 15, 2015, your deposit is non-refundable, and there are no refunds for final payments after August 10, 2015.
