Itinerary

Day 1 - GEORGETOWN/WILMINGTON/NEWARK AIRPORT
Afternoon departure for Newark Airport to board overnight, non-stop flight to Dublin, Ireland.  Meals D in flight

Day 2 - DUBLIN
Transfer on arrival by our motorcoach to Dublin.  Remainder of the day at leisure to explore your delightful resort hotel and grounds, where the movie "Barry Lyndon" was filmed.  Dine at the hotel this evening.  Meals BD

Day 3 - DUBLIN CASTLE AND "SHINDIG" EVENING
Discover the delights of central Dublin this morning including major buildings, parks and Dublin's famous Georgian doors.  At Dublin Castle enjoy guided tour around the State Apartments.  Return to your hotel for an afternoon at leisure or stay in central Dublin.  This evening attend a "Shindig" at the Old Jameson Distillery.  See whiskey-making processes before sitting down to a dinner of Irish specialties followed by a fund entertainment programs.  Meals BD

Day 4 - BLARNEY/SCENIC SIGHTSEEING/KILLARNEY
Depart Dublin and drive south into the countryside.  The countryside is lovely and we will stop for photos at the Rock of Cashel, a limestone outcrop, where a collection of churches has stood for nearly 1,000 years.  Continue past the gentle slopes of the Galtee Mountains and through prime dairy country.  Just outside Cork visit Blarney Castle where you can climb to the battlements and kiss the "Stone of Eloquence."  Travel on to the mountainous country of Kerry to Killarney.  Two nights at your deluxe hotel near the scenic Gap of Dunloe.  Meals BD

Day 5 - MUCKROSS HOUSE & KENMARE
Take a traditional horse-drawn jaunting car ride to view lakes and mountains on the way to Muckross House.  Tour this delightful 19th century mansion and have a walk around the gardens.  Continue to the market town of Kenmore where traditional buildings are brightly painted and enhanced with flowers.  Then go through Moll's Gap to a wonderful vantage point on the Ring of Kerry with a stop at Ladies View before returning to Killarney.  Afternoon free for independent activities.  Dinner at Killeen House restaurant's award-winning cuisine.  Meals BD

Day 6 - CLIFFS OF MOHER AND GLENIO ABBEY
Drive north from Killarney and take a ferry across the River Shannon Estuary and along the County Clare coast to view the Cliffs of Moher.  This impressive wall rock rises almost 700 feet above the Atlantic breakers.  Continue to the shores of Lough Corrib where your distinctive hotel is located.  Mid-afternoon arrival so that you can relax and enjoy this great facility  A special dining experience this evening in the Pullman Restaurant, luxury railroad cars built in 1927 for the Orient Express.  Meals BD

Day 7 - KYLEMORE ABBEY & CATAMARAN CRUISE
Today enjoy the Inagh Valley where sheep graze and people hand-cut peat from the bogs.  Visit the neo-gothic Kylemore, now a prestigious girl's school.  See the exquisite chapel and reception rooms and stroll the peaceful grounds.  Embark on the "Connermara
Lady" catamaran for a short cruise through scenic Killary Harbour, Ireland's only fjord.  Return to your hotel and dine tonight in the elegant River Room with views of Lough Corrib.  Meals BD
GLENLO ABBEY HOTEL

Day 8 - BALLINTUBBER ABBEY AND DONEGAL CASTLE
Journey north to visit Ballintubber Abbey, known as "the Abbey that refused to die."  It has been used continuously for worship since 1216, even when burned down by Cromwell in 1653.  Continue through the hills and boggy fields of County Mayo to County Sligo, called "Yeats Country" as the poet spent time here.  Pause to visit his grave before driving around Donegal Bay to visit Donegal Castle in the town center.  Originally built by the O'Donnell chieftain in the 15th century, it has been expanded in the 17th century and today has been renovated and furnished.  Drive through Derry to Limavady to your next country estate hotel and dine in the Coach House Brasserie.  Meals BD

Day 9 - DERRY & GIANT CAUSEWAY
Drive along the north coast of Ireland to explore the Giant's Causeway, huge hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago.  Return for a guided walking tour around central Derry, which includes the Guildhall, St. Columb's Cathedral the Diamond and 16th century city walls.  Spend some time in the Tower Museum with its local history exhibits.  Then return to our lovely hotel in Lilmavady so you can relax or use the sport and spa facilities.  Meals BD

Day 10 - ULSTER AMERICAN FOLK PARK AND CLONTARF CASTLE
Drive past the Sperrin Mountains to visit the Ulster American Folk Park.  See many cottages including the boyhood home of Thomas Mellon who emigrated to Pittsburgh in 1918 and later founded Mellon Bank.  The Park traces the story of Ulwster emigrants by showing how they lived in the "Old Country" and sailed across the Atlantic to settle in the "New World" in Colonial times.  Travel south to Dublin to Clontarf Castle Hotel, which dates back to 1172 and is steeped in Irish history.  Meals BD

Day 11 - DUBLIN/NEWARK
Morning transfer to the airport for your return flight to Newark Airport where transportation will be waiting to return you to Wilmington/Georgetown.  Meals B

Balance due May 15, 2007.
Cancellations:  Deposit is refundable until May 15, 2007.  After this date, no refunds.
