France is a country rich in history, culture, the arts and romance and the excitement begins as you arrive in the magnificent capital city of Paris! It is filled with impressive architecture, quaint cafés and restaurants and streets made for strolling. Excursions from Paris take you to Versailles and to Claude Monet's "Giverney" where he lived and worked from 1883 to 1926. From Paris travel on a high speed TGV train to Avignon, a charming medieval town. Three nights in Aix-en-Provence to explore this area, a favorite of discriminating travelers followed by three nights in Nice from which you will visit St. Tropez, Cannes, Monte Carlo and Grasse. Day 1 - GEORGETOWN/WILMINGTON/PHILADELPHIA AIRPORT
Afternoon departure for Philadelphia Airport to board your overnight flight to Paris. Meals D in flight
Day 2 - ARRIVE PARIS
Arrive in Paris, "the City of Lights," and transfer to your hotel, your home for 4 nights. Meals B in flight

Day 3 - PARIS
A day to visit the magnificent Louvre Museum and to enjoy Paris independently. This evening a romantic Seine River Cruise against a backdrop of Paris' glittering skyline. Then rise high above Paris for dinner inside the Eiffel Tower. Meals BD

Day 4 - PARIS
Your morning tour of Paris features the breathtaking architecture of the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Place de la Concorde, Place Vendome and the Champs-Elyees. Afternoon visit to the Museum D'Orsay with its famous French Impressionist art collection. Meals B

Day 5 - PARIS/VERSAILLES/GIVERNEY/PARIS
Drive out of Paris to visit Louis XIV's magnificent Palace of Versailles with its opulent Hall of Mirrors, state apartments and gardens. Continue to the sleepy village of Giverney, where the artist Claude Monet lived and worked. Enjoy a visit to his lovely home and palatial gardens where he painted his famous "Waterlillies." This evening a fabulous cabaret dinner show at Paradis Latin, Paris' oldest cabaret theatre. Meals BD

Day 6 - PARIS/TGV TRAIN/AVIGNON
Travel through the heartland of France aboard the high speed TGV train to Avignon with its impressive 14th century town walls. A delightful walking tour of Avignon explores the town's hidden treasures, including a visit to the Papal Palace. Your day ends in charming Avignon, your home for three nights, with dinner and wine at a local restaurant. Meals BD
Day 7 - AIX-EN-PROVENCE/AVIGNON
Enjoy an "In the Footsteps of Cezanne" walking tour featuring the markets and monuments of the old city. Afternoon visit a local winery for sampling in the famed vineyards of Provence. Meals B
Day 8 - AVIGNON/ST REMY-DE PROVENCE/AVIGNON
Today we explore the towns and countryside of Provence. Your visits include the charming towns of Arle, Les Baux-de-Provence, and the historic roman monuments of St. Remy-de-Provence. Meals BD
Day 9 - ST. TROPEZ/CANNES/NICE
Continue south to the fashionable resort of St. Tropez, a popular resort frequented by artists and movie stars. After a stop in Cannes, we continue to Nice, situated on the glittering shores of Cote D'Azur. Meals BD
Day 10 - NICE/MONACO/NICE
The scent of fragrant flowers fills the air on our stroll through the local Flower Market in Nice. Enjoy the lively seafront promenade before we continue to the Principality of Monaco, gem of the Riviera. Your tour highlights the famous Casino, the 13th century Prince's Palace, and the Cathedral of Monaco. Return to Nice to enjoy more of this lovely town. Meals B
Day 11 - NICE/GRASSE/ST. PAUL DE VENCE/NICE
Travel to Grasse to learn the secrets of perfume making when visiting a famous perfumerie. Then on to the medieval, walled village of St. Paul de Vence, situated on top of a hill overlooking the Mediterranean coast. Dinner this evening at a local restaurant in Nice. Meals BD
Day 12 - NICE/HOME
Morning transfer to the airport for return flight to Philadelphia where transportation will return you to Wilmington and Georgetown. Meals B
