Day 1 - BAY CROSSING (This is the only point of departure)
Following departure drive to Richmond, VA for a lovely lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Colonial Williamsburg and for hotel check-in. Your hotel is next to the Visitors Center where there are free shuttles into the historic area. A Welcome Dinner this evening at Campbell Colonial Tavern. Meals:L,D
Day 2 - WILLIAMSBURG
After breakfast at your hotel, join your historic interpreter and step back to the eve of the American Revolution. From 1699 to 1780, Williamsburg was the political and cultural center of Britain’s largest colony in the New World. Colonial Williamsburg, the nation’s largest living history museum, includes homes, stores and taverns reconstructed and restored to their 18th-century appearances. You’ll see tradesmen practicing historic trades and domestic crafts along with character actors and acres of greens. Lunch at the Shields Tavern followed by an afternoon at leisure. There are outstanding places to visit including the Governor’s Palace, the DeWitt Wallace Decorative Arts Museum and the Abby Aldrich Folk Art Museum. You will have a Historic Area pass that includes all daytime programs and museums. Tonight there will be a variety of Christmas programs and information about them will be included with your final documents. Meals:CB,L
Day 3 - SHIRLEY PLANTATION/RICHMOND/HOME
Depart this morning for The Shirley Plantation near Charles City, VA. Enjoy a guided tour that tells the story of eleven generations of one family who still today own, operate and work this grand colonial plantation. Lunch in Richmond at the Tobacco Company Restaurant before continuing to Lewes, arriving at approximately 6:00PM. Meals: CB,L
