Day 5 - HYANNIS/HOME 
Time to depart the Cape for home stopping enroute for lunch in Connecticut. Appropriate rest stops will be made enroute to Wilmington, Newark and Independence.  Meals: B,L

I T I N E R A R Y

Day 1 - INDEPENDENCE/NEWARK/WILMINGTON/NEWPORT, RI        
Morning departures take you into Connecticut for a leisurely lunch  at the Griswold Inn. Continue into Newport, Rhode Island for check-in at our hotel. Dinner this evening at the Atlantic Beach Club.  Meals: L,D

Day 2 -  NEWPORT/HYANNIS, CAPE COD
Newport is a delightful historical town. This morning meet Mrs. Caroline Astor, the Grande Dame of Newport, New York Society and head of “The 400” because her ballroom could only accommodate 400 guests at one party. Therefore, only those invited 400 persons represented the lavish gilded age in Newport. Mrs. Astor will conduct a 19th century Newport City Tour. Next, visit Marble House, the “Summer Cottage” of Mrs. Alva Vanderbilt, a social and architectural landmark of Newport Society. Mrs. Vanderbilt was one of the newest additions to Mrs. Astor’s “400”.  Afterwards, time for an independent lunch and shopping at the Brick Market Place. Walk down to the harbor, it is lovely. Later depart for Hyannis, your home for three nights.   Meals: B,D

Day 3  -  HYANNIS SIGHTSEEING 
Enjoy a  guided tour of Hyannis including the Kennedy Memorial, the St. Francis Xavier Church which the Kennedy family attended and the JFK Museum which tells you about his personal life on the Cape.  After an independent lunch visit the lovely tiny town of Sandwich and the Glass Museum. Cranberry glass is a specialty and they supply Tiffany’s and the Metropolitan Museum NY with their fine glassware. A dinner and cabaret show this evening at the historic Daniel Webster Inn.   Meals: B,D

Day 4 - DAY TRIP TO NANTUCKET ISLAND 
Board the Hy-Line ferry this morning to sail to the island of Nantucket, whose charm includes cobblestone streets, small lanes, handsome houses and plain Quaker style homes dating from the early 19th century. We’ll tour the island and have ample time for shopping at the lovely shops. Return to Hyannis in the late afternoon by ferry. A lobster dinner this evening back on the mainland. Alternate entrees will be available for those who do not eat shellfish.   Meals: B,D
