Day 2 - WINSTON-SALEM/ASHEVILLE                                                                       
This morning visit the Reynolda House Museum of American Art to enjoy a guided tour of this large country house which offers a fine collection of furnishings and American paintings, prints and sculpture. The works of Mary Cassatt, Frederic Church, John Singleton Copley, Gilbert Stuart and Andrew Wyeth are represented.  Following an independent lunch at nearby Reynolda Village, continue to Asheville, your home for two nights. Afternoon check-in at the new Village Hotel near the winery and  located on the grounds of the Biltmore Mansion and Estate. Dinner at one of the Estate restaurants.   Meals:B,D

Day 3 - ASHEVILLE                                                                                                        
Visit the great Biltmore Mansion this morning. In 1887, George Vanderbilt selected architect Richard Morris Hunt to build his mansion in the style of a French chateau with the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop! It is the largest private home in America. Tour independently with an audio tape. Lunch at the Deerpark or Stable Restaurant on the Estate. After lunch you may return to the mansion to see more and visit the shops.   Meals:B,L

Day 4 - ASHEVILLE/GROVEWOOD/RALEIGH                                                                 A special visit this morning arranged just for us at Grovewood’s North Carolina Homespun Museum. Staff members will describe the rich history of the woolens and woodworking operations begun by the Vanderbilts in the early 20th century. At the award winning Grovewood Gallery enjoy two floors of American handcrafted pottery, jewelry, furniture and sculpture representing nearly 600 artists. In addition, you can enjoy the Antique Car Museum and the sculpture gardens. Lunch at a local restaurant before we depart for Raleigh, NC for overnight.   Meals:B,L
