A local guide will introduce you to the area.  Highlights of your guided tour include downtown Phoenix, Camelback Mountain, Paradise Valley, Old Town Scottsdale and more.  Next, you will learn how Native American jewelry is made at a jewelry-making demonstration.  Tonight join your fellow travelers for the "Great Chili Cook-Off" at the Pinnacle Peak Patio.  In 1957 Pinnacle Peak opened as a general store.  Today it is a restaurant specializing in traditional cookouts.  Upon arrival, our group will be divided with plenty of interesting ingredients available to create your own chili.  Who knows - you could win the championship.  Then enjoy dinner and entertainment.

Your morning drive takes you through Oak Creek Canyon, where rock formations change hue with every turn in the road.  Arrive in Williams to board the Grand Canyon Railroad for a memorable ride across miles of northern Arizona.  The desert turns into forests of Ponderosa Pines as you near the great Grand Canyon.  Enjoy it all, the ever changing colors of this mile-deep canon cut by the Colorado River, one inch deeper every 100 years.  Dinner this evening at Black Bart's where the entire dining room staff is made up of singers from Northern Arizona University who will delight you with their music from Broadway shows.
